Passionate followers of the pop star are demanding that a person who jumped a fence and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating video reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside photographers and rushing toward Grande while the actors made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is unknown if he was charged.

Pattern of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram profile includes videos of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last December.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is evidently a punishable act," stated an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user questioned.

Fans Voice Worry Over Ariana's Safety

Many supporters blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented a further message on Instagram.

Some attendees also criticised security officers at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals called for social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of fans had congregated in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be launched on November 21, is the second of a two-film adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which centers on the unlikely relationship between two distinct witches.

The production itself is a adaptation of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of 2024 in the UK, and scored ten award recognitions, earning two for outstanding attire and set decoration.
