Star Rejects Anti-Vax Stance After Lending His Voice To Contentious Covid Feature

The acclaimed actor has given his vocal talents to a new documentary that casts doubt on the safety of vaccinations and praises ex- government figure RFK Jr.

The Feature's Contentious Basis

Called "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a popular book written by a controversial scientist, who rose to infamy during the health crisis for allegations that the virus was a result of a problematic version of the flu vaccine.

The publication's co-author, a producer, has also written books with controversial radio host a known commentator. The producer wrote online praising Neeson's involvement in the film.

A Firm Denial

The team of Neeson have issued a response pushing back against claims that he supports anti-immunization sentiments.

"We all understand that corruption might be present within the medical sector, but that should never be conflated with being against vaccines," the response states. "He never has been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His long work with Unicef highlights his consistent support for global immunisation initiatives."

The statement continued that the star was not involved in crafting the project's narrative and that concerns about its assertions ought to go to the producers.

Key Claims Within the Feature

In the film, the voiceover read by Neeson includes several controversial points:

  • It claims that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "unconditional submission" to health authorities.
  • It posits that "research has become deeply influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is interviewed saying, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they just aren't properly vetted."
  • The narration takes aim at pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused psychological harm that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Concerning the immunizations, it mentions a view that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Previous Context and Current Disputes

The documentary includes a 2004 BBC documentary about HIV drug testing on children, which was afterwards the focus of a correction by the corporation for violations of guidelines.

Last month, RFK Jr directed the CDC to alter its longstanding position that there is no link between immunizations and autism. This supposed link is repeated in the film, contrary to a recent study from the World Health Organisation stating no connection has been found.

An Earlier Statement of Endorsement

Differing from the documentary's narrative, Neeson has previously shown clear advocacy for vaccines in his role as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Two years ago, he described vaccines as "a remarkable human success story," noting that "The debate about vaccines in recent years has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in history."

The documentary ends with Neeson's script stating, "This isn't the finish of our narrative. This is the beginning of a different phase."
