The City of Angels witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Fans across the globe united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents flooding city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy high.
