The House Oversight Committee has published a set of roughly 70 images secured from the holdings of deceased adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the third disclosure from a larger collection of more than 95,000 photographs the panel has obtained from Epstein's property. It includes photographs of excerpts from the literary work Lolita inscribed across a woman's body, and redacted images of women's overseas passports.

This action comes hours before the 19th of December deadline for the DOJ to disclose all documents associated with its probe into Epstein.

"These new photos raise additional questions about precisely what the Justice Department has in its custody," stated the Democratic lead of the panel, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photographs Made Public

Some of the photographs made public on recently feature Epstein in discussion with professor and activist Noam Chomsky inside a personal aircraft; Bill Gates positioned next to a individual whose face is obscured; Steve Bannon sitting at a table opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the newest affluent, powerful individuals to be seen in Epstein's estate photos disclosed by the House Oversight Committee - previously disclosed pictures also depict US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, ex- US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Being pictured in the photos is is not considered evidence of any illegal activity, and a number of the pictured men have stated they were in no way participating in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a press release released with the image publication, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate's representatives did not provide context or timings for the images.

"Images were selected to furnish the public with transparency into a representative sample of the images obtained from the holdings, and to give perspectives into Epstein's circle and his profoundly alarming activities," the announcement states.

The disclosure also contains multiple photographs of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita penned in ink across different parts of a woman's body, including her torso, feet, pelvis, and back. Lolita narrates the account of a minor who was exploited by a middle-aged literature professor.

An example of a passage from the work inscribed across a female's chest states, "Lolita: the tip of the tongue traveling of three steps down the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a number of photographs of women's travel documents and official papers from nations worldwide, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the information on the documents, like identities and DOBs, is censored but the committee indicated in a announcement that the passports pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were involved with".

A further image features Epstein seated at a table in close proximity flanked by three female figures whose features have been censored - one individual has her hand on Epstein's torso under his shirt, and a second is bending to view a close-by device. Epstein can be seen to be assisting the third individual fasten a piece of jewelry.

A further photograph made public is a image of text messages from an unidentified person who claims they have been sent "some girls" and are requesting "$1000 per female".

Photo Publication Comes Prior to DOJ Deadline

The committee has thousands of photos in its custody from the Epstein property, which are "at once explicit and everyday," its press release on Thursday noted.

The House Oversight Committee first legally compelled the property of Epstein, who was found dead in a New York jail in 2019 while facing trial on accusations of human trafficking, in August.

The images and records the Epstein estate's representatives gave to the committee are separate from what is largely referred to "the Epstein files". Those files are documents in the DOJ's custody connected to its separate investigation into Epstein.

In accordance with the Transparency Act, which the President signed into law last month, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to publish its files. The extent of what is found in the DOJ's records is unknown, and it's likely that a large amount of the information will be extensively redacted, similar to Congressional releases
